In our BRWHOUSE kitchen, we are in pursuit of one goal: To elevate the relationship between food and beer to a whole new level. Ironically, perhaps, for a country famed for being meat-centric, we decided to cast vegetables in the starring role. Fermented, smoked, dehydrated, smoked and fried – this is the vision of CEO and Head of Culinary Ben Pommer, implemented by our Head Chef Thorsten Einicke. Each dish demonstrates the versatility, complexity and array of flavour which vegetables are capable of producing, showing us that vegetables need not be an addition or afterthought, and are more than capable of holding their own. Meat lovers need not be concerned, though, as we do also offer an admittedly impressive selection of regional meats, cooked to perfection in our smoker.
Open according to Google My Business. In real too. No people, that doesn't work.
Loved the food, loved the staff, loved the beer.. Get the selection of different small beers to try more! It's a great way to explore the amazing beers they offer. Don't be shy to ask for a recommendation based on your taste too! And the food... We didn't have any meat dishes, but oh boy, the vegetarian options were soo good!!
Super location! Large terrace. Large selection of fresh tasty beer. And this is the most important thing in the brewery! 😂 Just top !!!!
A man who is not happy here cannot be helped!
Great beers. Great atmosphere. Visit will depend on time of year. The beer garden is awesome. We bring our dog all the time - he loves it here. We've come several times since Covid. They were great in spring and summer. Fall leaves some to be desired. QR codes to take information and order aren't working. Tables outside are off limits for no reason it seems. Long, non socially distanced lines to get beer inside. And, those lines are LONG! Also large groups gather outside, which is currently against Berlin guidelines. They can do better - because they did before! To be clear, this would have been - and hopefully will be again post Covid, a five star place.
UPDATE: i moved the review from 2 to 4 stars after informing the management of what I wrote below they opened online ordering to the tables again. I hope they continue to be responsive to customer requests and think about the long term demand for ventilated or outdoor drinking through the entire fall and winter. I really want to compliment the hostess for brining these concerns to management and addressing this for BRLO. She kept a customer today. Original review: I am at BRLO now, a place i have been dozens of times since moving to Berlin. I love the beer, i love this place. However as cases spike in Berlin they are making it difficult to enjoy their beer outside and maintain social distancing. They force anyone wanting to order beer into a tent where there is no distancing and then to go inside to get the beer. Sometimes they have an app that will deliver beer to your table but they shut it off at 4:30. I love this place, but until they take the virus seriously again and let people enjoy socializing with ventilation i will wait until they change their policies until I come here and encourage you to do the same.
Did not have any beer or food and still felt the need to write something. Sunday evening, didn't look too busy, a girl and a guy working in service. Was waiting by the door for a few minutes to be seated. The girl did see me, but obviously she was not allowed to seat anyone. My patience was a tested for a bit, but I was excited about the food, having seen the menu on the website. After being seated, I was given the menu and was told that only snacks were available, not being explained why the regular menu was unavailable. Very disappointing, big city service arrogance.
We were there last year here and absolutely delighted, beer delicious, food exceptional. So we have made it a highlight to come again this year for a special occasion. The table was reserved at half past seven, we arrived ten minutes later and were informed as soon as we arrived that it would probably be over at half past nine. It seemed strange to us that it should be open until eleven, but what the heck, we wanted to have a nice evening, so we ordered a beer tasting and a menu for three people, even though there were only two of us. The food came exceptionally quickly, which of course (as we were very hungry) made us happy. After a few more minutes, however, it was clear where that came from ... they wanted to call it a day earlier. The last round was called at nine o'clock. We hadn't even finished eating and were actually looking forward to a dessert and another beer. When we left the restaurant half an hour later, the waitress, who was already standing outside the door in her jacket and had a beer with her colleagues (1.5 hours before the restaurant was supposed to close), didn't even let us know managed to say goodbye. For two students, for whom this meal was a long-awaited highlight and definitely also a certain investment, a very sobering conclusion ... Really a shame, because the food and beer were very good again. I've never felt the need to write a bad review, but this time I had to get rid of it, mainly because we weren't even given the chance to say it in person.
If you've read my reviews, you know I'm often in search of West Coast IPAs. I hoped they would have two on tap: the C4PO and the Ooh La La. They only had the Ooh La La but it was really tasty. Food was pretty expensive so we passed on eating. Service was great though. Waiter was very prompt taking our orders. He also gave us plenty of advice about the beers they had and other craft beer bars in Berlin. I would recommend to anyone that enjoys a good pint.
Love their IPA and the food is good too (although a bit pricy for Berlin)! Highly recommend, especially during the summer
Selected dishes, primarily focused on local raw materials, at fair prices and local beer in an inviting atmosphere. Sometimes you can also marvel at the best skating brewery dog here.
The beer is great. The food too. If you are vegetarian there's a lot to choose from in small, medium, and large sizes. They have grilled pork ribs too, and you'd expect a veggie-style restaurant to suck at meat but their ribs is up there with the best I've had in Berlin if not the best.
Great beer-garden. Especially in the summer, when you can take your drink into the nearby Gleisdreieck park.. and then come back for another beer 🍺
Great place for an micro brewery/American style beer. It is easy of access. It is full of expats and has very decent beers. If you feel a bit alienated by the usual grumpy German and his bland beer (I know this is controversial but as a Belgian I feel like German beer is water), this place will feel like a bit of a comfy bubble. I would give it a 5 star rating if the price was more reasonable and that there was a little bit variety in their brewing style (all heavily IPA oriented). Nevertheless, I spent many of my evenings in this place when I lived in Berlin.
Really good beer! So, if you're looking for a good beer in Berlin, you can definitely find plenty of good beer here. It's not exactly cheap, you pay, but it's not that the beer is overpriced.
Great selection of beers at the restaurant. The biergarten has fewer options, but still good ones. Nice place, large outdoor area
Really good service and the food was an explosion of flavours. Looking forward to try the rest of the menu 😃
Great location😀 Super friendly and refreshing staff, great food, great drinks, great music. We liked it very much👍
Location top Beer is good The food outside in the beer garden was really bad. Mac‘n ‘cheese tastes like nothing, noodles totally overcooked, no spices on them. Roasted cauliflower also totally soft and very tasteless.
The location is great! The beer was good, but the service was below average, even for Berlin (even being served was an act, the water was brought without glasses, orders were forgotten). The absolute low point of the evening was the food: pulpo and beef absolutely salty, unfortunately inedible. The puree made from sweet potatoes was so hot that it was barely edible, the eggplants weren't through. Maybe we were just very unlucky, but the food wasn't good at all. The service, who responded to the criticism with a shrug of the shoulders, was catastrophic, no apology, no accommodating, unfortunately not customer-oriented at all. It's best to buy beer in the store and cook it yourself at home.
Great food and relaxed atmosphere. The ingredients are fresh, healthy and regional. Unfortunately, the taste did not justify the high price. It was delicious, but not as exciting / new / surprising as I would have hoped for € 18 per person.
wonderful plase 👍👍
If you want to be treated badly and want to add more stress to your day, this place is the best choice. I appreciate that the place has covid-19 related regulations, but this does not justify the ridiculous and rude behavior at the ‘gate.’ I had to go to this place several weeks ago to join my friends from workplace. When I said to the ‘gatekeeper’ lady that I would like to join my friends who are in the beer garden, she asked me: ‘where are they?’ I said: ‘I don’t know, I’ve just arrived.’ Then she started nervously lecturing me: ‘One cannot just walk around the tables to look for friends,’ etc., etc... I tried to interrupt her several times, by asking ‘what should I do then?’, ‘what do you suggest me to do?’, ... Finally she heard me or the lecture was over. She told me to call my friends. I called them, still not knowing what to ask, and they told me a table number. It turns out that one should know the table number to enter. So, dear gatekeeper lady, please simply tell the costumers that you need to learn about the table number, rather than lecturing and trying to humiliate them. This would also make your job easier. And please try to remember that it is a beer garden, which is supposed to be relaxed and fun.
Good craft beer, tasty but slightly unusual food, a big sandbox for kids with lots of toys - perfect for a weekend
Delicious beer and food
Nice beer garden with various freshly tapped beers. Nice selection of snacks but quite expensive. All in all, it's okay.
Here you can sit, chat and drink delicious beer. There is also relaxed music. What more do you want?
Not vegan friendly
The ideal place to have a good beer and eat something. The variety of beers is truly remarkable and the staff are friendly.
Great place with great beer. Organized, clean, great staff. The biergarter has a good size and it was not crowded when I went. The beers on tap are great and as for the food, the chicken sandwich is good, the bratwurst not so much. Anyway, it is a good biergarter to go in Berlin.
Hopefully the restaurant inside will open soon again. Great food.
Top modern brewery with proper facilities and a great team. WORK TRIP 2017. BEER has class. REVIEW ONLY NOW BECAUSE FOUND BY RANDOM ABOUT Dumb1 STAR RATING. I have to contribute my mustard. Keep it up.
Ok quality but heavily overpriced - 5€ for a beer and 9€ for gin tonic is just way too much for Berlin. Especially since they only have self service. You could also just sit in the park next door and even buy the same beer at the späti. I don't understand why people go here. Would not recommend
Love everything about this place! Restaurant, beer garden, beer, food, stuff, atmosphere.
Well, would have liked to rate it, but it just had to. No information, no note - underground !! Then I stick to other breweries and avoid buying these products in the future ... just disappointingly unprofessional :( That there is such a thing at all.
Always a great experience
The must be hotspot not far from Potsdamer Platz, surrounded by the Gleis Dreieck Park. If you want to have a relaxed and chilled day with your friends, this is the place to go.
The DJ was incredible. An employee of BRLO, this guy is greatness in the making.
We liked it very much. Beers and food were nice and fresh. Strongly recommend for beer lovers
Nice outdoors area, friendly service, good beer and food good (especially the ribs).
Great beer, great food
I love the place, it is really an awsome atmosphere. I would like a bit more diversity for food at the terass (P.S. the chicken sandwich was delicious, but too spicy for me).
This place is great, the staff are nice, the beers are great and the meat is amazing. However, the sides, and the deserts... I don't even know where to start. Don't put beetroot in ice cream. Spicy cheese doesn't work. Either the chef is deluded, arrogant, or doesn't have any taste buds. Honestly the beetroot in ice cream gives me PTSD. Who does that to a person? Here's some yummy ice cream, surprise BEETROOT. Nope. Drink beer, eat meat, touch nothing else.
Perfect beer garden: good vibes, great beer, delicious food. Highly recommended!
Beer, pretzel and ribs
Great place to spend time at nice place. Huge choice od Craft beers and good food. I love sitting in garden.
Live music, great beer, amazing outdoor area, and popcorn to die for! One of my favourite experiences I had in Berlin
A great place to drink a mug of beer, eat a sausage and enjoy your evening in beatiful surroundings inside or outside.
If not the best one of the best in Berlin
Fantastic place, fantastic beer and yummy food ... we also ordered vegan and the staff was very helpful and went out of their way to please all of our wishes!!!!
